Our Story & Mission
A Christ-centered homeschool high school for grades 9–12. Here's our story, mission, and what we believe.
Grove Heritage Academy exists to provide students with a Christ-centered education focused on academic excellence, leadership, integrity, and spiritual growth. Our mission is to prepare young men and women to thrive in both faith and purpose.
For over fifty years, Grove Heritage Academy has served families who want something more for their children: a high school education built on faith, discipline, and real academic standards. Founded in 1973 by Christian families in Elk Grove, we have never wavered from our original mission. We focus on doing one thing well: giving high school students a Christ-centered education that prepares them for what comes next.
Our program serves students in grades 9 through 12, offering a flexible yet rigorous curriculum designed for families who want real academic structure alongside genuine faith formation. Whether your student is coming from a traditional school, another homeschool program, or starting fresh, we're here to help.
Everything we do flows from these four commitments. They shape how we teach, how we care, and how we serve our families.
Scripture is the lens through which we view all learning. We teach students not just what to think, but how to think, grounded in the truth of God's Word. Every subject connects back to a Christian worldview.
We hold our students to high standards because we believe they are capable of extraordinary things. Every course is designed to challenge, inspire, and equip them for whatever God has prepared for their future.
We work alongside parents, not in place of them. Your family is the primary influence in your child's life. We're here to support, equip, and strengthen that role with resources and community.
Every student is unique. We meet them where they are and help them grow academically, spiritually, and personally, at a pace that works for their God-given design, not a one-size-fits-all mold.
At Grove Heritage Academy, we don't treat Christianity as a separate course that's tacked on to a standard curriculum. Faith is the lens through which every lesson is viewed. History is studied with an awareness of God's sovereignty. Science is explored in wonder of His creation. Literature is read with an eye toward truth, beauty, and virtue.
Our Bible and Theology courses are required every year, not as a checklist, but because we believe spiritual formation is as important as academic formation. We want graduates who know what they believe and why.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, the authoritative standard for faith and practice.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, fully God and fully man, who died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is coming again.
We believe that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, by grace through faith, and that every believer is called to walk in obedience to God's Word.
These truths are the foundation of everything we teach. Every family enrolling in our program is asked to affirm these beliefs and commit to a home environment that supports a Christian education.
Just because we're a homeschool program doesn't mean your student is on their own. Grove Heritage Academy offers opportunities for connection, fellowship, and growth beyond the classroom.
