Welcome to Grove Heritage Academy. This handbook outlines the expectations, policies, and guidelines for students and families enrolled in our program. Please read it carefully and keep it as a reference throughout the school year.

  • Students are expected to complete all assigned coursework by the end of each semester.
  • A minimum of 4 hours of academic work per day is recommended for full-time students.
  • Students should maintain a consistent daily schedule, though exact hours are flexible.
  • All work submitted must be the student's own. Academic dishonesty will result in a zero on the assignment and may lead to disciplinary action.
  • Students who fall more than 2 weeks behind in coursework will receive a progress alert. Continued delays may require a parent conference.

A minimum grade of D- (60%) is required to earn credit for a course. Students who score below 60% must retake the course or complete remediation as determined by their academic advisor.

GPA is calculated on an unweighted 4.0 scale.

  • Progress reports are issued every 4 weeks via email to the parent/guardian on file.
  • Quarterly report cards are issued at the end of each 9-week grading period.
  • Report cards include: course name, current grade, credits earned, and teacher comments.
  • Parents may request a progress update at any time by contacting the academic advisor.
  • Parent-teacher conferences are available by appointment.
  • Grove Heritage Academy operates on a flexible schedule. Students are not required to log in at specific times unless enrolled in a live session.
  • Students are expected to complete coursework within the semester timeline.
  • A minimum of 170 instructional days per school year is recommended to meet most state homeschool requirements.
  • Extended absences or pauses must be communicated to the academic advisor in advance.
  • Students are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, respect, and a Christ-like attitude in all interactions.
  • Respectful communication is required in all correspondence with staff, teachers, and fellow students.
  • Profanity, harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Students participating in any Grove Heritage Academy online sessions or events are expected to dress modestly and appropriately.
  • Violations of the code of conduct will be addressed on a case-by-case basis and may result in probation, suspension, or dismissal.

As Christians, we believe that honesty is a reflection of our character and our faith. Grove Heritage Academy holds all students to the following standards:

  • All submitted work must be the student's own original work.
  • Plagiarism, meaning presenting someone else's words or ideas as your own, is a serious offense.
  • Use of AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.) to complete assignments is prohibited unless explicitly permitted by the instructor for a specific assignment.
  • First offense: zero on the assignment + parent notification.
  • Second offense: course failure + mandatory parent conference.
  • Third offense: possible dismissal from the program.
  • The primary method of communication is email.
  • Staff respond to emails within 24 hours during business days (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM).
  • Academic advisors are available by phone during office hours.
  • Urgent matters should be communicated by phone.
  • All official school communications will be sent to the parent/guardian email on file. It is the family's responsibility to keep contact information up to date.
  • A computer or laptop (Chromebook, Mac, or PC) with reliable internet access.
  • Updated web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).
  • Minimum internet speed: 5 Mbps download.
  • A printer is recommended but not required.
  • A working email address for the student and parent/guardian.
  • A webcam and microphone may be required for certain assessments or live sessions.
  • Families may withdraw at any time by submitting a written withdrawal request to the registrar.
  • Withdrawal within the first 30 days of enrollment: full tuition refund minus registration fee.
  • Withdrawal between 31-60 days: 50% tuition refund.
  • Withdrawal after 60 days: no refund.
  • Transcripts and records will be released upon request after all financial obligations are met.
  • Students who withdraw mid-semester will receive grades for completed coursework only.
  • Grove Heritage Academy accepts transfer credits from accredited schools, other homeschool programs, and online academies.
  • Official transcripts from the previous institution are required for transfer credit evaluation.
  • Transfer credits are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the academic advisor.
  • Credits earned at Grove Heritage Academy are transferable. Official transcripts formatted for college admissions and school transfers are available upon request.
  • Standard Diploma: 25.5 credits required.
  • College Preparatory Diploma: 28 credits required.
  • Bible/Theology is required every year of enrollment.

  • Grove Heritage Academy maintains student records in compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
  • Student information is never shared with third parties without written parental consent, except as required by law.
  • Parents may request to view their student's complete records at any time.
  • Record retention: student records are maintained for a minimum of 7 years after the student's last date of enrollment.
