Homeschool Legal Information

Grove Heritage Academy is a private homeschool support program. Families enrolled in our program are still considered homeschoolers under their state's laws.

Each state has different requirements for homeschooling, and it is the family's responsibility to understand and comply with their state's regulations.

Common state requirements may include:

  • Filing a notice of intent to homeschool with your local school district
  • Maintaining attendance records (typically 170 to 180 days per year)
  • Administering standardized testing at certain grade levels
  • Keeping a portfolio of student work
  • Submitting annual evaluations

Grove Heritage Academy provides the academic structure, official transcripts, and documentation that many states require. However, we strongly recommend that every family review their own state's homeschool laws.
